 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 449

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 449,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    with  reference  to  page and line numbers of House Amendment
 4    No. 6, on page 5, by replacing lines 12 through 25  with  the
 5    following:
 6        "Any  distributor  having cigarettes to which stamps have
 7    been affixed in  his  or  her  possession  for  sale  on  the
 8    effective  date  of  this  amendatory Act of the 92nd General
 9    Assembly shall not be required  to  pay  the  additional  tax
10    imposed  by  this amendatory Act of the 92nd General Assembly
11    on those stamped cigarettes."; and

12    by replacing lines 27 through  34  on  page  8  and  lines  1
13    through 6 on page 9 with the following
14        "Any  distributor  having cigarettes to which stamps have
15    been affixed in  his  or  her  possession  for  sale  on  the
16    effective  date  of  this  amendatory Act of the 92nd General
17    Assembly shall not be required  to  pay  the  additional  tax
18    imposed  by  this amendatory Act of the 92nd General Assembly
19    on those stamped cigarettes.".
