 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5654

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 5654,  on  page  1,
 3    line  8,  after  "county",  by  inserting ", except home rule
 4    counties,"; and

 5    on page 1,  immediately  below  line  20,  by  inserting  the
 6    following:
 7        "If,  prior  to the effective date of this amendatory Act
 8    of the 92nd General Assembly,  a  county  has  established  a
 9    written protocol that was agreed to by the agencies specified
10    in  this  Section  to  deal  with  homicides and questionable
11    deaths,  then  that  protocol  is  deemed  to   satisfy   the
12    requirements of this Section.".
