                                 MOTION

          I move to accept  the  specific  recommendations  of  the
      Governor as to House Bill 1696 in manner and form as follows:
                      AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1696
               IN ACCEPTANCE OF GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATIONS
          Amend House Bill 1696 as follows:
      on  page 1, line 20, after "hold", by inserting "(i) a 2-year
      degree and 3 consecutive years  of  experience  as  a  police
      officer with the same law enforcement agency or (ii)".
