1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincerest condolences to the family and friends
4 of Karen Lynette Hubbard, who recently passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, On July 2, 1966 in the City of Chicago, Karen
6 Lynette Hubbard was born to proud parents Alice Hubbard and
7 Gregory Minniefield; and
8 WHEREAS, From birth Karen Lynette Hubbard suffered from
9 devastating Crohn's Disease; and
10 WHEREAS, Karen Lynette Hubbard nevertheless graduated
11 from Proviso East High School and Robert Morris Business
12 College; she worked as an administrator in the office of the
13 Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County and later worked
14 for several Chicago area law firms; and
15 WHEREAS, Karen Lynette Hubbard was considered by everyone
16 to be very positive and loving with great people skills and
17 was very bright, witty, friendly, concerned, and caring; and
18 WHEREAS, In spite of her illness, Karen Lynette Hubbard
19 had a great flair for life and enjoyed it to its fullest
20 every moment she had; she never let her condition stifle her
21 joy, zest, and great spirit; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
24 all who knew her, the death of Karen Lynette Hubbard of
25 Chicago; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Karen Lynette Hubbard with our
28 sincere condolences.
