1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincerest condolences to the family and friends
4 of Wayne Eugene "Gene" Gambrill of Niantic, who passed away
5 on July 7, 2002; and
6 WHEREAS, Wayne Eugene Gambrill was born on August 8,
7 1931, in Decatur; he married Gloria Jane Weiss on September
8 4, 1970; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Gambrill was a member of Grace United
10 Methodist Church, the Niantic Civic Club, Summit Masonic
11 Lodge 431 AF & AM, IBEW Local 146 for 31 years, the Niantic
12 Fire Department for 21 years, and was fire chief for 18
13 years; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Gambrill was mayor of Niantic and had served
15 as a village trustee for 12 years; and
16 WHEREAS, The passing of Wayne Eugene Gambrill will be
17 deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his
18 wife, Gloria Gambrill; his children, Diane (husband, Guy)
19 Burchard-Lahr, Pamela K. Stahl, Robert D. Weiss Jr., and
20 Cindy L. (husband, Charles) Bruce; his grandchildren, Dawn
21 R.(husband, Scott) Blankenship, Shane E.(wife, Bridgitte)
22 Stahl, Stephanie A. (husband, Scott) Middleton, Sean A.
23 Stahl, Robert D. Weiss III, Brandon N. Weiss, Courtney L.
24 Bruce, and Christy L. Bruce; his brother, James Randall
25 (wife, Debbie) Baldwin; his sister, Susan Elizabeth Frazee;
26 and his two great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
29 all who knew him, the death of Wayne Eugene Gambrill of
30 Niantic, Illinois; and be it further
31 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
