1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of E. A. "Bud" Gingher of Peoria, who
4 passed away July 1, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Gingher was born March 31, 1937, in Streator
6 to Thomas and Annabelle Kerrigan Gingher; he married Phyllis
7 Haley on June 24, 1961, in Peoria; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Gingher was a U.S. Navy veteran; he served
9 from 1954 to 1958 and was stationed in Guam; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Gingher owned Gingher Process Piping, Inc.,
11 and was a former co-owner of Commercial Irrigation and Turf
12 and the Dayton (Ohio) Bombers hockey team; he was a member of
13 the Mid Illinois Mechanical Contractors Association, the
14 Dayton Hockey Hall of Fame, and the Peoria Heights Bank
15 board; Mr. Gingher was also the former chairman of the board
16 for the East Coast Hockey League; and
17 WHEREAS, Mr. Gingher earned a degree in mechanical
18 contracting from Bradley University, where he was a member of
19 the Bradley University Vet's Club and the Bradley Chief's
20 Club; and
21 WHEREAS, Mr. Gingher was a member of St. Vincent de Paul
22 Catholic Church and its Men's Club, and he was a member of
23 Knights of Columbus 427 Third Degree Spalding Council; and
24 WHEREAS, Mr. Gingher will be deeply missed by all those
25 who knew him and loved him, especially his wife, Phyllis; his
26 son, Edward (Betsy); his two daughters, Julie (Rich) Dawson
27 and Karen (Mike) Herman; his four grandchildren; and his
28 sister, Ursula (Robert) Maubach; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

1 his family and friends, the death of E. A. "Bud" Gingher; and
2 be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to the family of E. A. "Bud" Gingher with our
5 sincere condolences.
