1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincerest condolences to the family and friends
4 of Paul D. Burgo, Sr., who passed away on May 29, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Paul D. Burgo, Sr. was born on July 3, 1920 in
6 Opelousas, Louisiana to the late Lawrence and Mamie Burgo;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Burgo bravely served in the United States
9 Army during World War II with the 34th Infantry Division in
10 the North African and Italian theatres; he was awarded the
11 Bronze Star and the Purple Heart; and
12 WHEREAS, After returning home from the war, Mr. Burgo and
13 his wife, Martha started a family; he subsequently founded
14 Burgo Bros. Exterminators in 1965; and
15 WHEREAS, Mr. Burgo was extremely civic minded and
16 volunteered in many community activities; and
17 WHEREAS, The passing of Paul D. Burgo, Sr. will be deeply
18 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his loving
19 wife of 56 years, Martha Burgo; his children, Rosemary
20 (husband, Carl) Pallasch, Paul Burgo, Jr., Larry (wife,
21 Kathy) Burgo, and David Burgo; his grandchildren, Lawrence
22 Burgo, Sean Baker, Dominic Burgo, and Anthony Burgo; his
23 brother, Louis Burgo; his sister, Lucille Hickey; and his
24 many nieces, nephews, and countless friends; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
27 all who knew him, the death of Paul D. Burgo, Sr. of Aurora,
28 Illinois; and be it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to the family of Paul D. Burgo, Sr. with our
