1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Norman L. Schultz, who passed away on May 18, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Norman L. Schultz was born on December 31, 1939
6 in Montgomery County to Fred and Inez Schultz; he married
7 Mary L. Galbreath on January 25, 1985; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Schultz was the President of the Effingham
9 State Bank; he was a member and past deacon of the First
10 Presbyterian Church in Effingham, a member of the Effingham
11 Rotary Club, a board member of Friends of St. Anthony
12 Memorial Hospital, a board member of Heartland Human
13 Services, and a member of the Effingham YMCA; he also proudly
14 served his country in the United States Marine Corps; and
15 WHEREAS, The passing of Norman L. Schultz will be deeply
16 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife,
17 Mary; his son, Tom (wife, Karen); his daughter, Victoria
18 Coleman; his sister, Judy (husband, Wayne) Lowe; his
19 sister-in-law, Lois Schultz; and his grandchildren, Keith,
20 Brent, and Sarah; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
22 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
23 all who knew him, the death of Norman L. Schultz of
24 Effingham; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the family of Norman L. Schultz with our sincere
27 condolences.
