1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Inez A. Gerber, who passed away on March 13, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Inez A. Gerber was born on January 31, 1909 in
6 Girard, Illinois, to Charles H. and Ella Mae Shroyer
7 Anderson; she married Charles J.H. Gerber in 1928 in
8 Carlinville; and
9 WHEREAS, Mrs. Gerber worked at Ariston Restuarant in
10 Carlinville, ran Sammy Suds Laundromat for many years, and
11 baby-sat in her home; and
12 WHEREAS, Mrs. Gerber was a member of Saints Mary and
13 Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville and volunteered for the
14 Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled; and
15 WHEREAS, The passing of Inez A. Gerber will be deeply
16 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband,
17 Charles; her daughters, Sherry (husband, Donald) Huff,
18 Marjean (husband, Nelson) Graham, and Marilyn Gerber; her 10
19 grandchildren; her 17 great-grandchildren; her
20 great-great-grandson; and her sister, Irene (husband,
21 William) Baugh; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
24 all who knew her, the death of Inez A. Gerber of Carlinville,
25 Illinois; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Inez A. Gerber with our sincere
28 condolences.
