1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Fred John Torricelli, who passed away on January 13, 2002;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, Mr. Torricelli was born on June 21, 1950 in
7 Taylorville, Illinois to Fred and Evadine Torricelli; he
8 married Donna Hill on August 3, 1974; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Torricelli attended Taylorville High School,
10 and was a graduate of Lincoln Land Community College, Eastern
11 Illinois University, and Memorial Medical Center School of
12 Respiratory Therapy; and
13 WHEREAS, Mr. Torricelli was active in serving his
14 community; he served as City Treasurer and was an Alderman at
15 the time of his death; he was a life-long resident of
16 Taylorville and a great friend to all that knew him; and
17 WHEREAS, Mr. Torricelli enjoyed music and was a
18 well-known vocalist; he performed often for local and area
19 civic groups and churches; and
20 WHEREAS, The passing of Fred Torricelli will be deeply
21 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife,
22 Donna Torricelli; his daughter, Sara Torricelli; his sister,
23 Virginia McQuire; his nephew, Bruce Olson; and his nieces,
24 Michelle Gustafson and Tracy Wilhour; and therefore be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
27 all who knew him, the death of Fred Torricelli of
28 Taylorville, Illinois; and be it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to the family of Fred Torricelli with our sincere
