1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Glen A. Ford, who passed away on December 10, 2001; and
5 WHEREAS, Glen Ford was born on January 28, 1952 to
6 Anderson G. Ford and Ernestine Ford Smith of Chicago,
7 Illinois; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Ford proudly served his country in the
9 United States Navy for 22 years, where he retired as Chief
10 Master at Arms; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Ford was more recently known as Lieutenant
12 Ford of the North Chicago Police Department, where as an
13 officer he played an active role in the community; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Ford was a member of the Christian Valley
15 Baptist Church in North Chicago; and
16 WHEREAS, The passing of Glen A. Ford will be deeply felt
17 by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Edna; his
18 children, Dale (Glenn) Williams, Maurice (Tenisha) Ford,
19 Mario Ford, and Krystal Ford; his brother, Gary; his sisters,
20 Gail Anderson and Chris (Roosevelt) Pitts; his 10
21 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; therefore,
22 be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
25 all who knew him, the death of Glen A. Ford of North Chicago,
26 Illinois; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to the family of Glen A. Ford with our sincere
29 condolences.
