1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Cheryl Ann "Sis" House, who passed away on November 19,
5 2001; and
6 WHEREAS, Cheryl Ann "Sis" House was born on September 6,
7 1956 in Du Quoin, Illinois, the eldest of Albert and
8 Marguerite Matyi's seven children; she married Ralph Lewis
9 House on July 19, 1974; and
10 WHEREAS, Most recently, Mrs. House was working as a
11 cashier in Mattoon, Illinois; she was also deeply involved in
12 her Catholic faith; and
13 WHEREAS, Mrs. House passed away exactly 28 years to the
14 day that her father Albert passed away also at age 45; adding
15 even more irony, her father also passed away the Monday
16 before Thanksgiving; and
17 WHEREAS, The passing of Cheryl Ann "Sis" House will be
18 deeply felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her
19 husband, Ralph; her sons, Thomas D. House and Joey House; her
20 mother, Marguerite Matyi; her godson, Jared Fourez; her
21 grandmother, Carmen Bedar; her nieces; her nephews; her great
22 nephews; her aunts; her uncles; her brothers, Mike Matyi,
23 Steve Matyi, and David Matyi; her sisters, Mary Beth Davie,
24 Janie Rowland; and Francie Fourez; and her many friends and
25 acquaintances who will miss her loving smile and
26 compassionate heart; therefore, be it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
29 all who knew her, the death of Cheryl Ann "Sis" House of
30 Mattoon, Illinois; and be it further
31 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
