1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Jamie Lea LaForce, who passed away on October 16, 2001;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, Jamie Lea LaForce was born on August 30, 1954 in
7 Houston, Texas to James W. and Jimylin Hightower; and
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. LaForce was a tremendous athlete who
9 participated in 14 marathons and was considered a top master
10 runner; and
11 WHEREAS, Mrs. LaForce coached girls cross country and
12 track at Rosary Catholic High School; she also served as an
13 administrator for the soccer program she had helped found in
14 St. Charles and was a coach for her son's team, Euro West;
15 and
16 WHEREAS, Mrs. LaForce was an active member of the United
17 Methodist Church of Batavia, where she taught Sunday School
18 and participated on several committees; and
19 WHEREAS, The passing of Jamie Lea LaForce will be felt
20 deeply by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband,
21 Tom LaForce; her daughters, Amber (husband, Ron) Accidentale
22 and Shannon (husband, Mike) Corona; her son, Wesley LaForce;
23 her grandchildren, Arieanna Accidentale and Alex Corona; her
24 parents, James and Jimylin Hightower; her sister, Laurie
25 Bryant; her brother, Wesley (wife, Kim) Hightower; her
26 nieces, Melanie Bryant and McKenzie Hightower; and her
27 nephews, James Bryant and Colton Hightower; therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
30 all who knew her, the death of Jamie Lea LaForce of Geneva,
31 Illinois; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the family of Jamie Lea LaForce with our sincere
3 condolences.
