1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Louis "Lou" Fancsali, who passed away on October 10, 2001;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, Louis Fancsali was born on August 28, 1919 in
7 Aurora, Illinois to the late Denes and Julia Fancsali; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Fancsali served in the United States Army
9 during World War II in the European Theatre from March of
10 1941 to July of 1945, where he achieved the rank of Tech
11 Sergeant; following the war, he married the former Daisy
12 Kain; and
13 WHEREAS, Mr. Fancsali worked for Barber-Greene and then
14 was instrumental in forming the Fancsali Brothers Contractors
15 Company that later became Lou and Doug Fancsali Builders
16 Company; and
17 WHEREAS, Louis Fancsali was a past president of the
18 Aurora Contractor's Association and was a past board member
19 of the Fox Valley General Contractor's Association; he was a
20 member of Montgomery V.F.W. Post #7452, former member of
21 American Legion Post 84, life member of Tiger A.A., and was a
22 past chairman of the board of directors of the Elks Club
23 #705; in addition, he was a lifetime member of Second
24 Presbyterian Church in Aurora; and
25 WHEREAS, The passing of Louis Fancsali will be deeply
26 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 55
27 years, Daisy; his son, Douglas (wife, Kathie) Fancsali; his
28 daughters, Joyce (husband, Kenneth) Myers, Janet (husband,
29 Dick) DeForest, and Patricia Fancsali; his grandchildren,
30 Coral Rene' (wife, Stacy) Slater, Kevin (wife, Christie)
31 Myers, Paul (wife, Julie) Myers, Kimberly (husband, Terry)

1 Lobdell, and Jennifer Fancsali; his 13 great-grandchildren;
2 his brother, Alex Fancsali; and his several nieces and
3 nephews; therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
5 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6 all who knew him, the death of Louis Fancsali of Montgomery,
7 Illinois; and be it further
8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9 presented to the family of Louis Fancsali with our sincere
10 condolences.
