1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Ellsworth Landers, who passed away on October 14, 2001;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, Ellsworth Landers was born on July 13, 1920 in
7 Wilsonville to Fred Charles and Anna Weishaupt Landers; he
8 married Lucille Allen in 1940 in St. Charles, Missouri; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Landers was a farmer and a member of First
10 United Methodist Church in Staunton, Staunton Masonic Lodge
11 177, Royal Arch Masons, St. Omer Commandery and Ansar Shrine
12 Temple in Springfield; and
13 WHEREAS, The passing of Ellsworth Landers will be deeply
14 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife,
15 Lucille; his daughters, Audrey Jett and Marsha (husband,
16 Gene) Adams; his son, Charles (wife, Kay) Landers; his
17 grandchildren; his great-grandchild; and his brother, Mearl
18 Landers; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
20 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
21 all who knew him, the death of Ellsworth Landers of Bunker
22 Hill, Illinois; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to the family of Ellsworth Landers with our sincere
25 condolences.
