1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Leonard G. Jensen, who passed away on June 25, 2001; and
5 WHEREAS, Leonard G. Jensen, a 51-year resident of
6 Hinsdale, was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in the
7 Austin neighborhood; and
8 WHEREAS, Leonard G. Jensen served in the United States
9 Army during World War II; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Jensen was a broker of commercial insurance
11 products and had worked for Warehouse and Marine Casualty Co.
12 in Chicago; and
13 WHEREAS, Mr. Jensen loved music and sang in the choir at
14 Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hinsdale for many years; and
15 WHEREAS, In addition, Mr. Jensen loved to golf, read, and
16 work on the newspaper crossword puzzles; he was also a
17 painter of landscapes who worked in oils; and
18 WHEREAS, Mr. Jensen was a member of Masonic Lodge 934 in
19 Hinsdale and a 10-year volunteer at Hinsdale Hospital; and
20 WHEREAS, The passing of Leonard G. Jensen will be deeply
21 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 61
22 years, Dorothy; his children, Marcia Nelsen and Paul Jensen;
23 his brother, Warren Jensen; his granddaughters; and his
24 great-grandchild; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
27 all who knew him, the death of Leonard G. Jensen of Hinsdale,
28 Illinois; and be it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

1 presented to the family of Leonard G. Jensen with our sincere
2 condolences.
