1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Nicholas J. Schutz, Sr., who passed away on June 27, 2001;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, Nicholas J. Schutz, Sr. was born on December 25,
7 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Nicholas and Hermina Schutz; and
8 WHEREAS, Nicholas J. Schutz, Sr. served as past president
9 of the Couples Club at and as an Extraordinary Minister of
10 Communion at Santa Maria; in addition, he was a member of the
11 Father's Club at Carmel High School, a former trustee for the
12 Village of Mundelein, and a crossing guard for the Hawthorn
13 School District; and
14 WHEREAS, The passing of Nicholas J. Schutz, Sr. will be
15 deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his
16 wife, Mary Alice; his children, Lawrence (wife, Mary) Schutz,
17 Mary Frances Morris, Mary Janet (husband, Robert) Keaskowski,
18 Mary Pamela (husband, John) Meehan, Mary Annette (husband,
19 Ray) Burns, Nicholas (wife, Lisa) Schutz, Mary Patricia
20 (husband, Steven) Drecoll, and Mary Ellen Carlton; his
21 grandchildren, Cory, Jeffrey, and Rebecca Schutz, Shannon
22 Thomas, Sean, Ryan, and Kim Morris, John, Jason (wife, Kim),
23 Chris, and Mary Kathleen Keaskowski, Carolyn McMahon,
24 Kristine (husband, Tony) Caldara, Connie and Jackie Burns,
25 Jennifer Hardin, Jodi and Stephanie Burns, Kendall and
26 Jillian Schutz, Jessica and Matthew Drecoll, Bill (wife,
27 Tracy), Sean (wife, Andrea), Cassie, and Amanda Carlton; his
28 16 great grandchildren; his sisters, Florence Porter, Geri
29 Draniczarek, Sr., Pauline Schutz, and Georgianne (husband,
30 Bill) Glennon; and his many nieces, nephews, and in-laws;
31 therefore, be it
32 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL

1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
2 all who knew him, the death of Nicholas J. Schutz, Sr. of
3 Mundelein, Illinois; and be it further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of Nicholas J. Schutz, Sr. with our
6 sincere condolences.
