1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Sharon J. Tarter, who passed away on March 7, 2001; and
5 WHEREAS, Sharon J. Tarter was a Winfield resident since
6 1976; previously she lived in Glen Ellyn for fifteen years;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, Sharon J. Tarter served for twenty-five years as
9 an office coordinator for the School Association for Special
10 Education in DuPage County; she retired in 1991; and
11 WHEREAS, Sharon J. Tarter devoted her retirement to
12 creating magical memories for her grandchildren; she had a
13 gift for understanding the world of a child's imagination and
14 enjoyed coordinating day-to-day activities to draw them in;
15 and
16 WHEREAS, Sharon J. Tarter was passionate about the
17 holidays spending countless hours preparing parties and
18 events for her grandchildren; she prepared plays and skits
19 for Thanksgiving, transformed her home into a haunted house
20 for Halloween, and spent countless hours decorating her home
21 with tiny gold lights and old-fashioned decorations and
22 glittery figurines that resulted in a storybook glow at
23 Christmas time; and
24 WHEREAS, The passing of Sharon J. Tarter will be deeply
25 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband,
26 John; her sons, Jeff and Todd; her daughter-in-law, Eileen
27 Tarter; and her four grandchildren; therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
30 all who knew her, the death of Sharon J. Tarter of Winfield,
31 Illinois; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the family of Sharon J. Tarter with our sincere
3 condolences.
