1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 convey their sincere condolences to the family and friends of
4 Bradley Silchuck, who recently passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Bradley Silchuck was diagnosed with muscular
6 dystrophy when he was five years old; Bradley Silchuck was an
7 ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association,
8 Chicagoland region; in his role as ambassador he attended
9 walkathons, golf outings, and appeared on the Jerry Lewis
10 Muscular Dystrophy Telethon; together with his family, young
11 Bradley Silchuck worked to educate the public about this
12 disease; and
13 WHEREAS, Bradley Silchuck was an honor student at Lincoln
14 Junior High School who dreamed of becoming an architect; he
15 played baseball for the Mt. Prospect Stallions, and bowled on
16 the Northwest Suburban Recreation Association team in
17 Arlington Heights; for the last three years he was a member
18 of Boy Scout Troop 23; and
19 WHEREAS, The passing of Bradley Silchuck will be deeply
20 felt by all who knew him, especially his parents, Matthew and
21 Gail Silchuck; his brother, Christopher; and his
22 grandparents, Shirley Puralewski, and Irvin and Rita
23 Silchuck; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
26 everyone who was touched by this brave young man, the passing
27 of Bradley Silchuck; and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to the family of Bradley Silchuck.
