1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of James W. Reuland of Roswell, Georgia, who recently passed
5 away; and
6 WHEREAS, James Reuland was a graduate of the University
7 of Notre Dame, where he was a member of the Blue Circle Honor
8 Society; he was a graduate of Marmion Military Academy in
9 Aurora, Illinois; after his graduation he was commissioned a
10 Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, rising to the
11 rank of Captain; and
12 WHEREAS, After his military service was completed, James
13 Reuland began a career in telecommunications, first with
14 Western Electric in Montgomery, Illinois, and later with
15 AT&T, where he retired as an operations vice president; and
16 WHEREAS, After his retirement, James Reuland spent
17 several years as a real estate consultant; he served on the
18 board of the Timberidge Condo Association at Lake Lanier,
19 also serving as both president and vice president; he was a
20 member of the newly formed Saint Brigid Parish in Roswell;
21 and
22 WHEREAS, The passing of James Reuland will be felt by all
23 who knew and loved him, especially his loving wife, Ellen;
24 his children, James, Jr. (wife, Kris), John (wife, Susan),
25 David (wife, Dr. April Mitchell), and Katherine (husband,
26 David Pirnik); his grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca, Nicholas,
27 and Sarah Elizabeth; his four step-grandchildren, David,
28 Kyle, Niki, and Kel; and his brothers, Robert and Richard;
29 therefore, be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
31 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing

2 sympathies to his family and friends at this time; and be it
3 further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of James Reuland.
