1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 convey their sincere condolences to the family and friends of
4 Claude E. Dodson of Morton, Illinois, who recently passed
5 away; and
6 WHEREAS, Claude Dodson was born in rural Mason City on
7 May 22, 1913; his parents were Jesse and Ella Huffman Dodson;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, Claude Dodson was employed by Illinois
10 Contractors in Peoria and RG LeTourneau Inc.; for several
11 years he was the owner and operator of the Dodson Texaco
12 service station in Morton; he retired from Caterpillar Inc.
13 in 1978 from the Morton Parts Distribution Center; and
14 WHEREAS, On September 3, 1961 Claude Dodson married E.
15 Frances Mince Glover in Mason City; and
16 WHEREAS, Claude Dodson was a member of Groveland
17 Missionary Church in Groveland; and
18 WHEREAS, The passing of Claude Dodson will be deeply felt
19 by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Frances;
20 his son, Dick (wife, Betty); his daughter, Judy (husband,
21 John) Lyons; his stepson, Gary (wife, Sandy) Glover; his
22 stepdaughters, Peggy Jones and Brenda (husband, Jim) Testa;
23 his six grandchildren; his five step-grandchildren; his
24 fourteen great-grandchildren; his two
25 step-great-grandchildren; his sister, Wilma (husband, Howard)
26 Thompson; his brother, Jack Dodson; and his many nieces and
27 nephews; therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
30 his family and friends, the death of Claude Dodson of Morton,
31 Illinois; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the family of Claude E. Dodson.
