                                 MOTION

          I move to accept  the  specific  recommendations  of  the
      Governor  as  to  Senate  Bill  1493  in  manner  and form as
      follows:
                      AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1493
               IN ACCEPTANCE OF GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATIONS
          Amend Senate Bill 1493 on page 8, by  replacing  lines  4
      through 6 with the following:
      "4  shall  be  valid for a period not to exceed one year.  On
      and after January 1, 2002, however, to enable the  Department
      to".
