 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 540

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill  540  on  page  9,
 3    line 27; page 16, line 25; page 23, line 3; and page 31, line
 4    33,  by replacing "wholesalers.", each time it appears,  with
 5    the following:
 6    "wholesalers.  A propane storage tank  is  eligible  for  the
 7    exemption  under  this  paragraph  only  if  it increases the
 8    retailer's or wholesaler's capacity to  store  propane.   The
 9    exemption  under  this  paragraph  does  not apply to propane
10    storage tanks used for residential purposes.".
