 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 435

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 435 as follows:
 3    on page 6, by inserting between lines 1 and 2 the following:
 4        "(g)  This  Section  does  not  prevent  the  involuntary
 5    medication of a recipient who is  confined  in  a  county  or
 6    municipal  jail or other pretrial detention facility awaiting
 7    trial on criminal charges if the jail or facility  determines
 8    that  the  recipient  is  dangerous  to himself or herself or
 9    others and  the  treatment  is  in  the  recipient's  medical
10    interest.".
