 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 267

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 267,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    with  reference  to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment
 4    No. 1, as follows:

 5    on page 1, line 7, by replacing "shall be used" with  "shall,
 6    subject to appropriation by the General Assembly and approval
 7    by the Secretary, be used"; and

 8    on  page  1,  by  replacing  lines  11  through  22  with the
 9    following:
10    "scholarships   for   higher   education.   The   scholarship
11    recipients must be the children of current or former  members
12    of  the  United  States  Marine  Corps who meet the academic,
13    financial, and other requirements established by  the  Marine
14    Corps  Scholarship  Foundation.  In  addition, the recipients
15    must be Illinois residents  and  must  attend  a  college  or
16    university located within the State of Illinois.".
