1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are honored to recognize milestones in
4 businesses in the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, The La Salle National Bank will celebrate its
6 122nd year of banking in this State; the La Salle National
7 Bank was the first banking institution in the La Salle area;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, The bank received charter number 2503 from the
10 federal government and has continuously served the banking
11 needs of the people of the community since 1880; and
12 WHEREAS, The first president of the bank was I. H.
13 Norris, who served from 1880 to 1901; in 1911 the bank moved
14 to its present location at 105 Marquette Street in La Salle,
15 Illinois; and
16 WHEREAS, In 1990 the bank expanded service by adding a
17 branch location in Peru, Illinois, located at 4141 Venture
18 Drive; and
19 WHEREAS, the members of the Board of Directors are Gerald
20 F. Fitzgerald, Jr.; Marci Duro; William H. Plantan; David
21 Sickley; Douglas J. Schweickert; Jack Wayland; O. J.
22 Stoutner, Chairman; F. G. Bichl, Jr.; James C. Riley,
23 President; and A. Charles Mueller, Jr.; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate the La Salle National Bank on its 122 years
27 of service to La Salle and the surrounding communities and we
28 wish the bank continued success in the future; and be it
29 further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

2 Riley, and Chairman of the Board of Directors, O. J.
3 Stoutner.
