1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, George A. Fifer was a loving and devoted family
3 man to his wife, Angeline, his three children, Vicky, Greg,
4 and Michelle, and his nine grandchildren; and
5 WHEREAS, George A. Fifer served his country proudly as a
6 member of the U.S. Navy for 11 years; and
7 WHEREAS, George A. Fifer continued his service to his
8 country and his fellow servicemen and women as a member of
9 the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #5220 and Our Lady of
10 Fatima Knights of Columbus Council #5220; and
11 WHEREAS, George A. Fifer was a successful businessman as
12 founder and owner of A&G Radio and Television; and
13 WHEREAS, George A. Fifer passed away at age 74 on
14 Independence Day, July 4, 2000; therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
17 we extend our dearest sympathies to the family and friends of
18 George A. Fifer, and officially recognize July 4th as a day
19 to salute not only our country's freedom but the memory of
20 George A. Fifer - loving husband, devoted father and
21 grandfather, loyal serviceman, and dedicated community
22 leader; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to the family of George A. Fifer with our sincere
25 condolences.
