1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives offer our sincere congratulations to the
4 Easter Seals of DuPage County on the anniversary of fifty
5 years of service; and
6 WHEREAS, Easter Seals DuPage since 1952 has served
7 children with special needs and their families; and
8 WHEREAS, Easter Seals DuPage has become one of the
9 largest pediatric outpatient rehabilitation centers in
10 Illinois; and
11 WHEREAS, Over 1,500 children each year have been assisted
12 by the Easter Seals DuPage; and
13 WHEREAS, Easter Seals dedication and commitment has led
14 to repeated accomplishments; and
15 WHEREAS, The Easter Seals' staff have extensive training,
16 specialized education and years of experience in treating
17 children with disabilities; and
18 WHEREAS, Easter Seals offers an integrated approach to
19 therapy, providing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to
20 individual needs; and
21 WHEREAS, The outstanding services provided by Easter
22 Seals include physical therapy, speech and language therapy,
23 occupational therapy, medical nutrition therapy and
24 audiology; and
25 WHEREAS, Easter Seals' innovative treatment works to help
26 the entire family through its family support services which
27 include an inclusive child care center, early intervention
28 services, family support services and a parent liaison; and
29 WHEREAS, Computer training, communication, literacy, and

1 technology skills learned from Easter Seals' programs allow
2 individuals to become active and independent members of
3 society; and
4 WHEREAS, Easter Seals DuPage has experienced such high
5 levels of success, they have expanded their services,
6 opening an additional facility; and
7 WHEREAS, Children reach their maximum potential in large
8 part due to the specialized treatment children of various
9 developmental abilities receive at the Easter Seals DuPage;
10 and
11 WHEREAS, This achievement is a source of inspiration to
12 the entire community and State, building upon fifty years of
13 service to the children and families in DuPage County;
14 therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-
16 SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we do
17 hereby offer our congratulations to Easter Seals DuPage; and
18 be it further
19 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to the Executive Director of Easter Seals DuPage,
21 Mary Alice D'Arcy.
