1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Bob Delmotte
6 has retired after thirty-six years as a teacher and
7 administrator in Vermilion County; and
8 WHEREAS, Bob Delmotte ended his educational career as the
9 joint administrator for the Vermilion Association of Special
10 Education (VASE) and the Vocational Occupational Technical
11 Educational Center (VOTEC), a position he held for the last
12 seven years; and
13 WHEREAS, Bob Delmotte began his career in the Georgetown
14 school district as a junior high school teacher and coach in
15 1965; he later served as the elementary principal, high
16 school principal, assistant superintendent, and
17 superintendent of the Georgetown-Ridge Farm school district
18 until 1994; and
19 WHEREAS, In his position at VASE and VOTEC, he managed to
20 lead both cooperatives through changes and improvements in
21 the last seven years; in addition, he has helped launch new
22 programs such as computer networking and sign language
23 courses to help meet the needs of the students and school
24 districts; as a result of his leadership role, enrollment
25 numbers at VASE and VOTEC have increased significantly; and
26 WHEREAS, Bob Delmotte's presence and dedication will be
27 dearly missed by his colleagues, present and past, staff, and
28 students in Vermilion County; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
30 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
31 we congratulate Bob Delmotte on his retirement after serving

1 as joint administrator for the Vermilion Association of
2 Special Education and the Vocational Occupational Technical
3 Educational Center for the past seven years and we wish him
4 well in all of his future endeavors; and be it further
5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to Bob Delmotte as an expression of our esteem.
