 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5578

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 5578 as follows:
 3    on page 1, line 8, by inserting after "for" the following:
 4    ": (1)"; and

 5    on page 1, line 11, by inserting "(2)" after "or"; and

 6    on page 1,  line  16,  by  inserting  after  the  period  the
 7    following:
 8    "Clause (2) of this subsection (a) applies only if the victim
 9    reported  the offense to law enforcement authorities within 2
10    years after the commission of the  offense  unless  a  longer
11    period   for   reporting   the  offense  to  law  enforcement
12    authorities is provided in Section 3-6.".
