1 AN ACT in relation to real property.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. Upon payment of the sum of $1, the Director of
5 Veterans' Affairs, on behalf of the State of Illinois, is
6 authorized to convey by quitclaim deed to the Manteno Fire
7 Protection District all right, title, and interest in and to
8 the following described real property located in Kankakee
9 County, Illinois:
10 A part of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of
11 Section 23, Township 32 North, Range 12 East of Third
12 Principal Meridian in Kankakee County, Illinois,
13 described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner
14 of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section
15 23; thence South 89 degrees 53 minutes 18 seconds East
16 along the South line of the Southwest Quarter of said
17 Section 23 a distance of 502.30 feet (as previously
18 described) to an iron rod, said point to be known as the
19 point of beginning. From said point of beginning; thence
20 North 00 degrees 04 minutes 05 seconds East a distance of
21 519.07 feet (previously described as North 00 degrees 11
22 minutes 50 seconds East a distance of 518.98 feet) to an
23 iron rod; thence North 89 degrees 58 minutes 11 seconds
24 East (previously described as South 89 degrees 53 minutes
25 18 seconds East) a distance of 643.04 feet to an iron
26 rod; thence South 00 degrees 32 minutes 27 seconds East a
27 distance of 520.70 feet to an iron rod on the South line
28 of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 23; thence North
29 89 degrees 53 minutes 18 seconds West a distance of
30 648.57 feet to the point of beginning, EXCEPT the South
31 65.00 feet thereof, containing 6.74 acres more or less,
32 SUBJECT TO rights-of-way for roads, drainage and

1 easements apparent or of record.
2 Section 10. The conveyance of real property authorized by
3 Section 5 shall be made subject to the express condition that
4 the property must be used for public or educational purposes
5 and that if the property ceases to be used for public or
6 educational purposes, it shall revert to the State of
7 Illinois without further action on the part of the State.
8 Section 15. The Director of Veterans' Affairs shall
9 obtain a certified copy of the portions of this Act
10 containing the title, the enacting clause, the effective
11 date, the appropriate Sections containing the land
12 descriptions of property to be transferred, and this Section
13 within 60 days after this Act's effective date and, upon
14 receipt of payment required by the appropriate Sections,
15 shall record the certified document in the Recorder's office
16 in the county in which the land is located.
17 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
18 becoming law.
