 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3295

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3295  by  replacing
 3    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 4        "Section  5.   The Public Library District Act of 1991 is
 5    amended by changing Section 15-30 as follows:

 6        (75 ILCS 16/15-30)
 7        Sec. 15-30.  Petition  of  property  owners.   A  library
 8    district  by  ordinance may annex contiguous private property
 9    upon receiving a petition by  a  majority  of  the  owner  or
10    owners of record of the property for annexation.
