1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3128
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3128 on page 19,
3 after line 31, by inserting the following:
4 "Section 17. The Uniform Interstate Family Support Act
5 is amended by changing Section 602 as follows:
6 (750 ILCS 22/602)
7 Sec. 602. Procedure to register order for enforcement.
8 (a) A support order or income-withholding order of
9 another state may be registered in this State by sending the
10 following documents and information to the appropriate
11 tribunal circuit court in this State:
12 (1) a letter of transmittal to the tribunal
13 requesting registration and enforcement;
14 (2) 2 copies, including one certified copy, of all
15 orders to be registered, including any modification of an
16 order;
17 (3) a sworn statement by the party seeking
18 registration or a certified statement by the custodian of
19 the records showing the amount of any arrearage;
20 (4) the name of the obligor and, if known:
21 (i) the obligor's address and social security
22 number;

1 (ii) the name and address of the obligor's
2 employer and any other source of income of the
3 obligor; and
4 (iii) a description and the location of
5 property of the obligor in this State not exempt
6 from execution; and
7 (5) the name and address of the obligee and, if
8 applicable, the agency or person to whom support payments
9 are to be remitted.
10 (b) On receipt of a request for registration, the
11 registering tribunal shall cause the order to be filed as a
12 foreign judgment, together with one copy of the documents and
13 information, regardless of their form.
14 (c) A petition or comparable pleading seeking a remedy
15 that must be affirmatively sought under other law of this
16 State may be filed at the same time as the request for
17 registration or later. The pleading must specify the grounds
18 for the remedy sought.
