 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2419

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 2419 on page  1  by
 3    replacing lines 7 through 31 with the following:
 4        "Sec.   155.37.  An  insurer  may  make  an  underwriting
 5    decision based upon a record  of  credit  worthiness,  credit
 6    standing,  or  credit capacity.  These credit factors may not
 7    be used in ways prohibited as unfair methods  of  competition
 8    or  unfair  and deceptive acts and practices, such as sex and
 9    income and as set  forth  in  Section  424  regarding  unfair
10    discrimination  on the basis of the race, color, religion, or
11    national origin of an applicant or insured."; and

12    on page 2 by deleting lines 1, 2, and 3.
