 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2299

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 2299,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    in the second to last sentence of paragraph (1) of subsection
 4    (a)  of  Sec.  29D-65  of Section 15, by replacing "the court
 5    shall order the property frozen" with "the court shall  order
 6    such property frozen"; and

 7    by  inserting  after  the  last  sentence of paragraph (1) of
 8    subsection (a) of Sec. 29D-65 of Section 15 the following:
 9    "Upon the request of the defendant,  the  court  may  release
10    frozen or seized assets sufficient to pay attorney's fees for
11    representation  of the defendant at a hearing conducted under
12    this Section.".
