 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1973

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 1973, on page 2  by
 3    deleting lines 7 through 34; and

 4    on page 3 by deleting lines 1 through 23; and

 5    on page 3 by replacing lines 24 and 25 with the following:

 6    "(b)  The  township  board  may  levy  the taxes at a rate in
 7    excess of 0.125% but not in excess of"; and

 8    on page 4 by replacing lines 4 and 5 with the following:

 9    "from 0.125% to 0.40% of the value of  all  taxable  property
10    within the".
