 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1908

 2        AMENDMENT NO. _______.  Amend House Bill 1908, on page 6,
 3    by replacing lines 31 through 34 with the following:
 4    "abolished by operation of law effective on January 1 July  1
 5    of  the calendar year immediately following the calendar year
 6    in which that consolidated nonpartisan election is held.   On
 7    January 1 July 1 of the calendar year in which the offices of
 8    township"; and

 9    on  page  7,  line  13, by replacing "July 1" with "January 1
10    July 1"; and

11    on page 7, line 17, by replacing "July  1"  with  "January  1
12    July 1"; and

13    on  page  7,  line  27, by replacing "July 1" with "January 1
14    July 1".
