1 AN ACT concerning the Department of State Police.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Department of State Police Law of the
5 Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding
6 Section 2605-480 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 2605/2605-480 new)
8 Sec. 2605-480. Firearm fingerprinting program. The
9 Department shall develop and administer a program for the
10 test firing of every firearm sold in Illinois for the purpose
11 of creating and maintaining a data base of firearm
12 fingerprints. The Department shall adopt necessary rules for
13 the implementation of this Section.
