 1        AN ACT concerning the regulation of professions.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Illinois Physical Therapy Act is  amended
 5    by adding Section 14.1 as follows:

 6        (225 ILCS 90/14.1 new)
 7        Sec.  14.1.  Continuing  education  renewal requirements.
 8    The continuing education requirements for a person seeking to
 9    renew a license as a physical therapist or a physical therapy
10    assistant shall be established by rule.

11        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
12    becoming law.
