1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 335
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 335 as follows:
3 on page 2, by replacing lines 10 through 24 with the
4 following:
5 "The provisions of this subsection (b), other than this
6 sentence, are inoperative after December 31, 2003.
7 (c) Each law enforcement agency shall compile the data
8 described in subsection (b) of this Section for the calendar
9 year into a report to the Secretary of State, which shall be
10 submitted to the Secretary of State no later than March 1 in
11 2003 and 2004. The Secretary of State shall determine the
12 format that all law enforcement agencies shall use to submit
13 the report.
14 (d) The Secretary of State shall analyze the annual
15 reports of law enforcement agencies required by this Section
16 and submit a report of the findings to the Governor, the
17 General Assembly, and each law enforcement agency no later
18 than June 1 in 2003 and 2004.
19 (e) The report of the Secretary of State shall include
20 at least the following information for each law enforcement
21 agency:"; and
22 on page 3, below line 2, by inserting the following:
23 "The provisions of this subsection (e), other than this

1 sentence, are inoperative after December 31, 2003."; and
2 on page 3, lines 10 and 11, by replacing "Attorney General"
3 with "Secretary of State"; and
4 on page 4, by replacing lines 8 and 9 with the following:
5 "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
6 January 1, 2002.".
