 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 242

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 242 as follows:
 3    on page 2, line 2, by replacing "is encouraged to" with "must
 4    is encouraged to"; and

 5    on page 2, lines 11 and 12, by replacing "School  boards  are
 6    urged to encourage" with "Beginning on August 1, 2004, school
 7    boards must require are urged to encourage"; and

 8    on  page  2,  line  18,  after  "Cross"  by  inserting ", the
 9    American Heart Association,".
