 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 43

 2        AMENDMENT NO. _________  Amend House Bill 43 on  page  3,
 3    immediately below line 5, by inserting the following:
 4        "(h)  The   Department   of   Agriculture  shall  provide
 5    technical support and expertise  to  the  Animal  Agriculture
 6    Industry Development Program established by this Act."; and

 7    on  page  3,  by  replacing  everything after line 7 with the
 8    following:

 9        "Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes  effect  on
10    January 1, 2002.".
