1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Anne C. Drew of Waukegan, Illinois,
4 who recently passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Anne C. Drew was born March 13, 1911 in
6 Waukegan, Illinois; her parents were William and Anna
7 Kubaitis; and
8 WHEREAS, Anne C. Drew was a member of Immaculate
9 Conception Parish, the Altar and Rosary Society, St. Therese
10 Auxiliary, and the Catholic Women's Club and was the
11 treasurer of St. Anne's Society; she delivered lunches for
12 the Meals on Wheels program; she was named "Woman of the
13 Year" in 1995 at Immaculate Conception Parish; and
14 WHEREAS, Anne C. Drew worked alongside her husband,
15 Daniel B. Drew, in the Drew Coal and Ice Company, and later
16 served as president of the Dan Drew Oil Company; she was
17 known as Grandma Drew to the neighborhood children and was
18 famous for her chiffon cakes and quilts; and
19 WHEREAS, The passing of Anne C. Drew will be deeply felt
20 by all that knew and loved her, especially her children,
21 Marianne (husband, Peter) Jula, Sister Elizabeth Drew, Donna
22 (husband, Claude) Incaudo, Kathleen (husband, Ronald) Spong,
23 and Daniel T. (wife, Peggy) Drew; her sister, Carol (husband,
24 Bernard) Mather; her brother, Andrew (wife, Pauline)
25 Kubaitis; her sister-in-law, Loretta (husband, Richard) Drew;
26 her twelve grandchildren; and her twelve great-grandchildren;
27 therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
30 her many loved ones, the death of Anne C. Drew of Waukegan,
31 Illinois; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the family of Anne C. Drew.
