1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Thelma A. Peiffer of Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on
5 September 21, 2000; and
6 WHEREAS, Thelma A. Peiffer was born on April 15, 1916 in
7 Kaneville, Illinois; and
8 WHEREAS, Thelma A. Peiffer was married to the late Carl
9 M. Peiffer on July 29, 1939; surviving are her son and
10 daughter-in-law, Ted and Paulette Peiffer; her son, Tom
11 Peiffer; her daughter and son-in-law Sherri and Tom Britz;
12 her grandchildren, Tracy Herrick and Nancy Britz, and Tracy's
13 husband, Jeff, and Nancy's fiance, Darren Gertz; and her
14 great-grandson, James Herrick; and
15 WHEREAS, In addition to her children and grandchildren,
16 the passing of Thelma A. Peiffer will also be felt by her
17 sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Ted Sachen; her brother
18 and sister-in-law Ralph and Carol Schleifer; her
19 sisters-in-law, Rita Bassett and Rosalind Peiffer, and Rita's
20 husband, Tom; her many nieces; and her nephew; and
21 WHEREAS, Thelma A. Peiffer will be dearly missed and
22 remembered most for her encouraging words, quiet
23 understanding, reassuring presence, and wonderful smile;
24 therefore be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
27 all who knew her, the death of Thelma A. Peiffer; and be it
28 further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to the family of Thelma A. Peiffer.
