1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of William E. Lenert, Sr., of Aurora,
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, William Lenert was born in Aurora, Illinois on
6 March 19, 1921; he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and liked to
7 cheer for the Notre Dame University sports teams; he enjoyed
8 traveling, and recently returned from a trip to Ireland; and
9 WHEREAS, William Lenert was a member of Holy Angels
10 Church where he served as a former lay consultant and
11 Eucharistic Minister; he was a Eucharistic Minister for Mercy
12 Hospital and was a member of the Lions Club and Serra Club;
13 and
14 WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Illinois Benedictine
15 College, formerly St. Procopius College; he served in the
16 United States Navy from 1943 to 1946; he worked for General
17 Motors as an engineer, and then owned and operated Lenert's
18 TV; and
19 WHEREAS, William Lenert is survived by his loving wife of
20 fifty-two years, Eugenia Lenert; his children, Sharon
21 (Dennis) Kripp, Sheila (Michael) Conners, William (Mary)
22 Lenert, Jr., Marsha (Jeffrey) Moran, Joyce (Hal) Hindley, and
23 Dianne (Thomas) Hurrell; his grandchildren, Colleen and her
24 husband, Kevin, Andrew, Maura, Bradley, Douglas, Gregory,
25 Katherine, William, Michael, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Danielle,
26 Christy, Kyle, Thomas, Mary, and Sarah; his
27 great-grandchildren, Sean and Ryan; his sister, Lorayn (Imas)
28 Rice; and his niece and nephew; he will be remembered for the
29 pride he had for his children, grandchildren, and
30 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
31 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL

1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our sincere
2 condolences to the family and friends of William E. Lenert,
3 Sr., of Aurora, Illinois; and be it further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of William Lenert.
