1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Ralph Barr of Palos Heights,
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Ralph Barr was a veteran of the Korean War; he
6 was retired as a superintendent in the clerical department of
7 the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad; he was a partner in R & R
8 Creations, working in the handcrafting of custom-made
9 cabinets; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Barr was a member of the Palos United
11 Methodist Church and a life member of Palos Heights VFW Past
12 7454; and
13 WHEREAS, Mr. Barr was a dedicated member of the Palos
14 Lions Club and a past District 1-A Zone Chairman for Lions
15 International; he joined the Lions Club in 1992 and served as
16 President in 1996 and 1997, bringing in 11 new members; and
17 WHEREAS, Ralph Barr is survived by his wife, Arlene; his
18 daughters, Brenda Miller, Cynthia Anderson, Mary Tor, and
19 Julie Banssiak; his six grandchildren; his brother, and his
20 sister; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
22 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
23 his family and friends, the death of Ralph Barr of Palos
24 Heights; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the family of Ralph Barr.
