 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1339

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 1339 on page 7, by
 3    inserting the following after line 8:
 4        "A person who took the  September  10,  1994  cosmetology
 5    licensure  examination  for  the  sixth  time  and failed the
 6    examination and failed to  request  a  reader  based  upon  a
 7    documented   learning   disability   may   reapply   for  the
 8    examination within 6 months of the  effective  date  of  this
 9    amendatory Act of the 91st General Assembly without having to
10    complete  the  additional 1,500 hours of instruction required
11    under this Act."; and

12    on page 19, by inserting the following after line 6:
13        "(d)  This Section shall not apply to any person who  has
14    applied for a waiver of the continuing education requirements
15    under Section 3-7, 3A-6, or 3C-8 of this Act.".
