 1        AN   ACT  making  appropriations  to  the  Department  of
 2    Commerce and Community Affairs.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.   The  sum  of $1,000,000, or so much of that
 6    amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department
 7    of Commerce and Community Affairs for a grant to the City  of
 8    Marion  for  assistance  in  the reconstruction of the Marion
 9    Culture and Civic Center.

10        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act  takes  effect  on
11    July 1, 1999.
