1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Attorney General.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The following named sums, or so much thereof
5 as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the
6 Attorney General to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses
7 of the following divisions of the Office of the Attorney
8 General:

28 Section 15. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as

31 Enforcement Fund for State law enforcement purposes.

2 as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated from the
3 Asbestos Abatement Fund to the Attorney General to meet the
4 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Asbestos Litigation
5 Division:

20 Section 25. The amount of $2,500,000, or so much thereof
21 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney
22 General Court Ordered and Voluntary Compliance Payment
23 Projects Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for the
24 performance of any function pertaining to the exercise of the
25 duties of the Attorney General including but not limited to
26 enforcement of any law of this State and conducting public
27 education programs; however, any moneys in the Fund that are
28 required by the court or by an agreement to be used for a
29 particular purpose shall be used for that purpose.
30 Section 30. The amount of $400,000, or so much thereof
31 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois
32 Charity Bureau Fund to the Office of the Attorney General to

1 enforce the provisions of the Solicitation for Charity Act
2 and to gather and disseminate information about charitable
3 trustees and organizations to the public.
4 Section 35. The amount of $3,000,000, or so much thereof
5 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney
6 General Federal Grant Fund to the Office of the Attorney
7 General for funding for federal grants.
8 Section 40 The amount of $20,000, or so much thereof as
9 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General's
10 Grant Fund to the Office of the Attorney General to be
11 expended in accordance with the terms and conditions upon
12 which those funds were received.
13 Section 45. The amount of $100,000, or so much thereof
14 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Whistleblower
15 Reward and Protection Fund to the Office of the Attorney
16 General for law enforcement purposes and distribution to
17 third parties.
18 Section 50. The amount of $3,000,000, or so much thereof
19 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney
20 General's State Projects and Court Ordered Distribution Fund
21 for payment of interagency agreements and court ordered
22 distributions to third parties.
23 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
24 July 1, 1999.
