1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Maud Ella Evans-Bogan migrated to Chicago at an
3 early age and Maud has always felt the Westside, where she
4 has resided since becoming a resident of the City of Chicago,
5 was the best side; and
6 WHEREAS, Maud Ella Evans-Bogan is the youngest of four
7 children and Oscar Evans is her only surviving brother; in
8 1939 she was united in holy matrimony to Henry Bogan; and
9 WHEREAS, Maud Ella Evans-Bogan has been a faithful member
10 of Carey Tercentenary A.M.E. Church for over forty years; she
11 retired from the Internal Revenue Service after thirty-five
12 years of loyal service; and
13 WHEREAS, Maud Ella Evans-Bogan has been a loving and
14 dedicated mother and mother-in-law to Diane Bogan Cottrell
15 and Edward Cottrell, Bruce and Charmaine Bogan, and Debra
16 Bogan Coleman and Ronald Coleman; she has been a supportive,
17 caring, and understanding grandmother to Christopher, Brad,
18 Craig, Nichelle, Marsalis, Ronald II, Evan, and Jonathan, who
19 call her "Mema"; Maud Ella Evans-Bogan also shares her love
20 with her favorite nephew, Gregory Evans; and
21 WHEREAS, The Bogan family believes words could not
22 adequately describe how Maud Ella Evans-Bogan, a mother,
23 grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, has touched the lives
24 of so many in her unique way; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27 we congratulate Maud Ella Evans-Bogan for her devotion to her
28 family, her faith in God, and her dutiful service to the
29 Internal Revenue Service; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
31 presented to Maud Ella Evans-Bogan, along with our sincere
